Vet prices in Brazil are not so cheap. Having a pet that's worth enough to take to a doctor puts it in the chic category, I suppose! Glad your pooch decided it was easier to get better than drink more tea!


Michele, it amazes me how different prices for vet services (and doctors!) are so different around the world. I'm really glad our doggie didn't have to go very often!


I just found your blog through Women of the Harvest. I know this is an old post, but it is just too close to home not to comment. Our little cat had kidney stones. My husband took him to the vet, paid a tiny amount, helped the vet clean out the cat's kidneys (!!!), and then came home with a whole long list of injections to give over the next few weeks. We would much rather just have paid more and left the cat for someone else to take care of!


Phyllis, I totally relate to your story. I remember thinking, I'm doing medical stuff for our dog that I've never even done for my children! Thanks for sharing.
